Traffic leaving Joe’s Hill Road will turn right down onto Main Street and turn left on the Fleming Street junction. Motorists leaving Joe’s Hill Road making a left turn onto Main Street will be only allowed to proceed as far as the Long Bush road intersection.
During the course of the project, parking is prohibited along Main Street between E. A. Creque’s Store and the Methodist Church Cemetery; and on Fleming Street between The Virgin Queen Restaurant and McKelly’s Beauty Salon, and the Long Bush Road on the side of BVI Electricity Corporation Headquarters.
This road rehabilitation projects helps Government achieve number 74 of its Legislative Agenda to continue to improve road safety, especially through the marking of roads, the installation of signs and guard rails along road sides and appropriate intersections, and the installation of traffic lights where required.
