Conservation and Fisheries Department will be hosting a Vertical Long-Line Fishing and Capturing of Flying Fish course on August 25 – 27 with local fisher folks.
This workshop will consist of two parts; a half-day in-class session at the Conservation and Fisheries Department’s conference room and an overnight field practice session in which participants will be at sea aboard various local fishing vessels.
The course is part of the Department’s effort to keep the fisher folks of the Virgin Islands abreast of new fishing methods and on-going fishing practices.
