Bringing world-class treatment to the BVI with Studio One Salon & Spa

Time spent at a salon or spa is relished as it is often a treat to pamper ourselves with a confidence-boosting fresh look.
After catering to the British Virgin Islands community since January 17, 2014, Studio One Salon & Spa is proud to be widely recognised for their professional services, quality products, and welcoming hospitality.
Nicoleta Bongarth, head cosmetologist and co-owner of Studio one, along with owners Eileen Bourke and Che Pemberton, were delighted to be chosen by the community as the third Best BVI Health & Spa at Virgin Islands’ Property & Yacht’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2015.
“We really appreciate how many clients voted for Studio One. I’m very thankful that in only two years, our hard work has paid off and we have established a name for ourselves by building a positive reputation,” said Nicoleta.
Nicoleta is the floor manager, skilled in hair, cosmetology, and aesthetics, with Eileen and Che working behind the scenes conducting the marketing and administration respectively.
The Studio One team also includes Julia Rusu, a multi-talented hair stylist, make-up artist and aesthetician, who has received unique training in television and specialty make-up.
Suelyn Parkinson is a registered massage therapist and has been working at the studio since its opening, having received training in how to provide indulgent deep tissue and hot stone massages, as well as manicures and pedicures.
New to the Studio One team, Kathryn greets their customers with a smile as the main receptionist, training to be Nicoleta’s assistant. Several times a year, Nicoleta and staff travel internationally to shows and workshops to stay ahead of the latest trends.
“It is very important to train, because in our business there is always something new offered. We want to offer our customers services and products they can’t find in the BVI,” said Nicoleta.
In summer 2015, Julia returned to her home country to become qualified in 3D micro pigmentation- semi-permeant make-up—the only salon/spa to offer this service in the BVI—and five star porcelain spoon facial treatments.
“Recently during a conference in the United States, Studio One acquired Hair BTX- a revolutionary treatment that uses botanical ingredients to makes the hair manageable, strong and frizz free,” said Nicoleta.
In addition to the exclusive services, the salon also takes pride in providing a unique client experience with a homely atmosphere.
“The team at Studio One is like a family, and clients feel this vibe. We provide a happy ambience; we are happy working in our jobs and happy to make clients happy,” said Nicoleta with a smile.
Over the holiday season, Studio One welcome new clients and encourage existing patrons to take advantage of their winter customer appreciation specials.
