Pearlette Wintz and her husband Marco de Wit inaugurated Marco’s Men’s Clothier in October 2015 with a vision of opening a bespoke men’s store, carrying the latest clothing styles for the contemporary man.
“The idea came to me when we moved here and I ordered Marco’s first made-to-measure shirt. I thought, wow, Tortola could use a really good men’s store!” said Pearlette.
With an array of fashions from casual to business attire at Marco’s, the customer enjoys personal, expert tailoring in a relaxed boutique atmosphere.
Located in the heart of Road Town, Marco’s is a distinctive store, decorated to model an elegant bachelor pad. Selected by Pearlette, the furnishings and decor complement one another to suit the lifestyle of the professional modern male.
The clothing is sourced and selected primarily by Pearlette during her visits to international fashion exposés including MAGIC, a renowned show in Las Vegas. Marco’s is loyal to the best quality materials that can be sourced. When selecting clothing, Pearlette and Marco choose styles and fabrics that acknowledge the sizzling Caribbean climate.
“In addition to what’s offered in the store, we place special orders from our catalogues upon request. We also offer made-to-measure pieces by J. Hilburn where you can opt for everything including the lapels, fabrics, buttons, pockets, sizes, and styles,” explained Pearlette.
Pearlette delivers an exclusive level of customer service by appointment only; she is able to work with her client one-on-one to assist their choice of fashions which are suited to their physique and personality. Displaying her love for design, Pearlette is enthusiastic about instilling her client’s with confidence and comfort in their sense of style.
“At Marco’s, we like to be more than just a retail store. Recently we started our ‘Marco’s Man’ wall, where each month we choose one of our clients to represent our boutique,” said Pearlette.
New for the spring season, Marco’s is offering a collection of stylish men’s footwear by Satori San available in a variety of ‘funky’ colours, imported from Valencia. Additionally, Pearlette plans to bring in the spring with new, exciting collections made with cotton and linen.
“At Marco’s, we aim to be a resource, offering exclusive products which men want and need. We are open to suggestions from clients and are here to assist in bespoke styling as well as gift purchasing on behalf of our clients. We want to be our clients’ ultimate resource for all their shopping needs.”
