Photographic Bliss – From the editor

Stunning photography.

We’ve said it before and we gladly say it again – we love good quality photos and we know you do too.

Sometimes images can have more impact than words, and although we relish epic, poetic, fluid prose, that raise a property to life or add a glow to a beautiful yacht, May’s issue exhibits even more fantastic photography than usual to parade the articles we have in store.

After four years, Baraka Point Estate—presented by Coldwell Banker BVI—returns to VIPY as our cover feature; it looked great in 2012 and is even better than ever before. Currently for sale, the retreat has been the recipient of praise from multiple travel publications and is a property investment that provides endless revenue.

Our VIPY Stylish Spaces of the Year segment has concluded with the aesthetically pleasing results that the competition sought. Enjoy the 16-page spread of the Virgin Islands’ finest quarters in idyllic properties across the Territory and feel inspired.

Our Yacht Spotlight takes a peculiar turn in examining a racing yacht as opposed to our customary luxury charter yachts; Wild Horses is a suitable name for the speed she can demonstrate on the water.

BVI Maritime History Tales moves to Part Two of its story, following April’s issue in memory of two BVI vessels – this time focusing on Isabel and the fond memories our marine historian recalls.

The renowned Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous this year was as prestigious as always, boasting fantastic racing, and luxurious after party frivolity. Enjoy our review of the event and if you visited, relish reminiscing in anticipation of next year.

Things We Love adds its smooth touch to outdoor home design accessories with Kate and Fran of House and finally, Le Boutique introduces herself to VIPY – this trendy, contemporary store embodies a cool European edge that seems outer-worldly to traditional Caribbean culture, yet caters fashion necessities and luxuries perfectly to visitors and residents alike.

Wishing you enjoyment of the LAND, SEA, and LIFE in the Virgin Islands
