…And so is VIPY as our Readers’ Choice competition completes its first month of voting. We are already receiving incredible numbers as readers use their free choice to congratulate the best of the best in the BVI, USVI, and Virgin Islands as a whole over a number of categories covering LAND, SEA, and LIFE. Summer season sees a slower British Virgin Islands and for many, it’s a welcome change. Our cover piece explores the renovations that are occurring at Rosewood Little Dix Bay Resort over this period and beyond – Laurance Rockefeller’s vision lives on in providing a luxurious retreat in perfect harmony with nature; renewals are only going to improve this dream establishment.

BVI HomeSense reveals five significant points homeowners will wish to have contemplated in their protection during hurricane season.

Realtor Coldwell Banker BVI give readers—who are considering or have chosen to relocate to the BVI—a guided tour of the islands and the distinct attributes that form their differences; some will love Tortola for its more urban edge and others will prefer Virgin Gorda for its tranquillity.

Our Yacht Spotlight introduces a superyacht of impeccable taste aptly named Spirit – the grace of this luxury vessel in both aesthetics and service will astound.

Our history journey continues with expert Geoff Brooks as he retells a crucial piece of BVI culture with the Joan of Arc and the Great March of 1949; it’s challenging to get hold of the BVI’s seafaring past so we’re always grateful for Geoff’s insights and knowledge.

The Things We Love have been a little blue this month and no, we don’t mean down; the home accessories exhibited all fall under a very blue theme for July.

Moving on, we would be very interested to find a person who actually likes mozzies…seriously, is there anyone in the world who likes them? We doubt it. It’s time to get those flying bloodsuckers out and this month, we look at the ‘BugOut’ operation currently active in Virgin Gorda, initiated to protect residents and visitors from viral diseases, that have had adverse effects on the economy.

Coming to the end of the magazine, you will find an extract of the BVI’s hiking guide Trails & Tales; this practical, educational, and inspiring book could open you up to a new hobby and a novel way of seeing the islands.

Wishing you enjoyment of the LAND, SEA, and LIFE in the Virgin Islands
